Creating a Culture of
MENTAL WELLNESS
According to the World Health Organization, mental wellness is defined as, “the state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully and is able to make a contribution to his or her community.” What a great definition and a very well organized structure of words. However, life is not always structured, actually life is completely unstructured and challenging. Dodging and coping with what life throws at us can be a daunting and sometimes an insurmountable task. Don’t take on this mountain alone. We are here to help with your company, district or organization’s needs for all things mental health and mental wellness.

In today’s times of uncertainty and everchanging daily mental stressors and concerns, we are here to help. We offer presentations, training, and small targeted group sessions on issues such as: parenting, anxiety, depression, relationship and life transition topics. We can take you from surviving to thriving, or from mental health struggles to mental wellness.
Life can be difficult and can make you, your employees and your organization feel isolated. We offer solutions to help you and your biggest investment, your staff. A healthy staff can lead to a healthy, positive work environment. While districts, schools and learning institutions are tasked with so much academically, we can assist with the mental wellness aspect through staff training, parent training and student centered small groups.

Our Chief Mental Wellness Officer
Laura Ramirez, LPC, LCDC
Laura Ramirez, M.Ed., LPC, is a psychotherapist practicing in Houston, Texas. She has worked with K-12 leadership, staff, and students for over 20 years. She is trained in Hypnotherapy and is a certified DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) therapist. She utilizes Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). In addition, she addresses issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, and difficult life transitions.

Laura uses a mixed methodology approach with educational organizations. She leverages the MTSS, Restorative Discipline, and PBIS intervention strategies when coaching leaders on engaging with elementary, middle, and high school students. For the most challenging students, she provides psychotherapy to deal with current life issues and hypnotherapy to uncover past trauma and issues that may be the root causes of contemporary problems in a client’s life. Laura’s specialization is in healing past wounds through hypnotherapy and psychotherapy. She believes that hypnotherapy is the modality that can dig deep into the subconscious and reveal past trauma for the client to heal today.

Laura encourages her staff to be passionate about helping others regain their passion and purpose for living their best life, despite past traumas and life stressors.
